Upon many requests in the forums. We are happy to announce that we start shipping Wandboard REV C1. On the Wandboard System-on-Module: Upgraded WiFi and Bluetooth module (BCM4329 to BCM4330). This brings Bluetooth 4.0 to the Wandboard HDMI CEC pin routed CAN Bus signals routed to the EDM connector Add resistor R149 to autodetect REV C1.
Schematics WB-EDM-IMX6 REV. C1 (the Wandboard System-on-Module). On the Wandboard Connector I/O board: Ground isolated/updated on SGTL500 chipset TTL brightness control pin routed to expansion header Serial Port RTS/CTS signals routed to connector Connector for 5V/GND to connect to HDD (SATA Power) Schematics WAND REV. Hi, Over the course of the past several weeks most major distributors carried zero stock of the WBDUAL and WBQUAD. Fresh (REV C1) stock has been added to their stock level in the past several days or will be added in the week to come.
WBQUAD at the major distributors are REV C1 already. WBDUAL most distributors are out of stock at the moment. Their next shipment is REV C1. There is no plan to update WBSOLO to REV C1.
Reason is that the major difference is on the WiFi/Bluetooth chip and this part is not populated on the WBSOLO. Site Admin Posts: 24 Joined: Thu Aug 29, 2013 4:35 pm. Likely, but you have the causal connection kinda reversed We had to design the new revision on a.very. short notice since we ran into problems with the old wifi chip availability.
This also caused a short halt in production of wb Q/DL - that might have caused temporary shortages. Happened to step by the factory yesterday, and they were making wb quads and shipping them as fast as they could. So I would expect them to be re-stocked quite soon.
