Download Clay Soldiers Mod For Mac

I understand your pain, managing and installing mods in Minecraft is really a huge pain in the butt, much harder than it needs to be. Hopefully this will improve, Mojang is planning some changes that should make it easier in future version of Minecraft. I play Minecraft myself, but I also have 3 kids who love to ask me for new mods like every other day, so although I don't have any experience with Clay Soldiers specifically, hopefully I can help here. I also work in IT, so have a bit of an advantage in some of the technical detail. I'll try to give you a step-by-step, tested tonight on my own computer. I browsed through the and found the following:.

Version 2.0.0 alpha is the latest version of the mod, it is largely a re-write of the original version, which was written for much older versions of Minecraft. As such, it may not contain all the functionality that older YouTube videos your son might have seen. Hopefully he won't have a problem with that. The latest version of the mod is for Minecraft 1.6, not for the latest 1.7 version of Minecraft. This shouldn't be a big problem, you can create a profile for older versions in the Minecraft Launcher.

I'll explain how to do that. Here are the steps you'll need to get this working: Step 1. Locate and download the needed files:. Forge 9.11.1 for 1.6.4: Go to and there should be a row that says '1.6.4 Recommended', click the download link that says 'installer'.

If you've never used Adfly downloads before, be very, very careful! Do not click on anything in the middle of the page, it will load your computer up with spyware and junk (I don't know why people actually use this crappy downloader site, other than there must not be anything better available). In the upper-right corner should be a 5-second 'countdown', wait for it to finish and then click the 'Skip Ad' button, and it will start the download. It may prompt you with a warning, because this is an executable file. Save the file, do not run it. I made a new folder for my Minecraft downloads, mine are in C: minecraft downloads. 'Manager Pack' - prerequisite for all this developer's mods.

Go to the very first post of and scroll down to the download links. Click on the first to download the Manager Pack (this also uses Adfly, heed the warning above). Clay Soldiers Mod 1.9.9alpha. This is the second download link in the same forum thread above.

Also uses Adfly. Make a new Minecraft Launcher Profile to make sure you have the right version Launch Minecraft, and in the lower-left corner click 'New Profile'. Name it something like '1.6.4 Vanilla'. (This is optional, but I put all my different profiles into different game directories, mine is in C: minecraft profiles vanilla 1.6.4). Near the bottom there is a drop-box that allows you to select a version.

Drop it down and choose 'release 1.6.4'. Save the profile, make sure it is selected in the profile drop box, and hit PLAY. It may need to download the necessary files for 1.6.4, but make sure you runs correctly. Once it loads successfully, quit the game. Install Forge Go to where you downloaded the files (mine is in C: Minecraft downloads) and double-click the Forge installer (mine is named forge-1.6.4-9.11.1.953-installer.jar). It will load a little 'Mod system installer' window.

Make sure 'Install client' is selected and the user path is correct (the path should be correct, you'd only need to change it if you had manually moved the Minecraft installer folder, which you probably didn't). Click OK, it should display a progress bar and then show a message that says something like: 'Successfully installed client profile Forge for version Forge 9.11.1.953 into launcher and grabbed 0 required libraries'. (Your number may be different than mine, this is fine).

Make a new profile for Clay Soldiers (optional but highly recommended!) Run the Minecraft launcher again. If you drop down the Profiles list, you should see a new one, 'Forge'. You could just use this profile, but making a new profile pointing to a different folder will help the next time your son asks for Galacticraft or Pixelmon or Oceancraft:P. Here is how to do it. Create a new folder on your hard drive.

I created one at C: Minecraft profiles mods ForgeClaySoldiers. This folder will hold all the saved games, and the extra files for the Clay Soldiers mod. Once you've created this folder, create a new profile back in the Minecraft launcher.

Call it 'Clay Soldiers', check the box next to 'Game Directory', and put in the path you created above. Set the 'Use Version' dropdown to 'release 1.6.4-Forge9.11.1.953' (or whatever your Forge version is). Save the profile and hit PLAY. If you've done this right, you will see the Forge version in the bottom-left of the Minecraft window.

We still haven't installed Clay Soldiers yet, though, so quit Minecraft again. Put the Manager Pack and Clay Soldiers mod files into the correct location If you go back to your new profile location (mine was C: Minecraft Profiles Mods ForgeClaySoldiers), it should now have a 'mods' subfolder (if you just used the default 'Forge' profile, this may be harder to find, let me know if you need some help finding it).

Copy the two other files you downloaded to this 'mods' folder. These files were 'SAPManPackCorev200a.jar' and 'CSMv200a.jar'. Run, test, and enjoy!

Clay Soldiers Mod

Re-launch the Minecraft launcher, choose the 'Clay Soldiers' profile, and PLAY! If you've done everything right (and the odds are ever in your favor) it should say '4 mods loaded, 4 mods active' in the corner.

Click the 'Mods' button, and it should list the Clay Soldiers Mod. Do a little happy dance (Not optional).

To verify that it installed properly, click 'Single Player', then 'Create New World'. Give it a name like 'creative testing', click the 'Game Mode Survival' button to changes it to 'Game Mode Creative'. Click 'Create New World', press the letter E on the keyboard to see Creative inventory, then click the arrow in the upper right.

You should be able to click on the little clay man to see all the clay soldier items. I haven't played it myself, so I wouldn't know what to do from here.

I would assume that your son would know, if he's watched the YouTube videos for this mod. Let me know if you have any trouble. As far as I know, most mods will not be updated for 1.7 for a while because of the fact that MCP (the software needed to decompile the code) has to be updated, and then Minecraft Forge / ModLoader (makes the modifications work together) also has to be updated after that, and then the mods themselves. Since 1.7 changed so much of the coding, all of these things will take more time than normal. Basically, if you want a mod on Minecraft 1.7 for christmas, that's most likely not going to happen, due to time constraints and the fact that the mod creators themselves will be celebrating the holidays. The only way the Clay Soldiers mod is going to be playable is by using older Minecraft versions.

Clay Soldiers Mod 1.12.2/1.11.2/1.10.2 for Minecraft is truly a fun based modification which normally creates multiple types of soldiers which fight with each other. It is a great enjoyment because you can equip the soldiers with some weapons, armors and redstone which help them to get stronger and standout during the battle with the other soldiers. It reflects the old age area of the rome empire where the soldiers fight with each other till their last breadth and the last one stand to be the king of the soldiers. The modification acts the same like that. You are able to craft small clay people which can be different in their colors who will fight with the other color solider. More importantly they will form the team with the same color one.
