Free Fso Word 2011 For Mac
I am using Excel for Mac 2011 which has VBA version 14.0. I am trying to use this code which accesses the file system, which I know works on Windows: Function qfilGetDirectory(strDirectoryName As String) Dim objFSO As Variant Dim objDirectory As Variant Set objFSO = CreateObject('Scripting.FileSystemObject') Set objDirectory = objFSO.GetFolder(strDirectoryName) Set qfilGetDirectory = objDirectory End Function However, when I run it in Excel for Mac 2011, it gives me this error: Run-time error 429 Object creation with ActiveX component not possible To fix this on Windows, I know I have to just reference a specific DLL under tools. However on the Mac, when I go under tools references it only gives me these: And none of them allow me to use Scripting.FileSystemObject. What do I have to do in Excel 2011 for Mac so that I can use Scripting.FileSystemObject to read files from the hard drive from an Excel sheet via VBA?
2012 Macbook Pro 15' Retina gets really really hot with nothing open but Chrome. It is elevated 2' off on a wooden desk. I even turned off 'Automatic Graphics Switching' in Energy Saver. I use iStat Menu to find out the temperatures of the cores: 145 to 163ºF with fans running at maximum speed. The numbers go up way if I reset the fans back to default: 180-190ºF.
These numbers seem high. I was just reading my emails. I haven't even started my Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and streaming my music yet.

Attempting it via a discussion forum is extremely difficult. EtreCheck is a great help that regards. You should also try an SMC reset and an NVRAM reset. Yes, I've done the resetting SMC and just did the VRAM. Here is my report form EtreCheck.

Some are really old, some are essentially malware -like “clean my mac”. At this point the best course of action is to make a full backup or two, then erase and install HS, and then use Migration Assistant to bring back.only. the user account(s) - NOT applications or settings. You will then have a clean system and can install the applications you really need and use. Never install any applications that claim to “clean” or “speed up” your mac, nor any antivirus. Hi, Have the same problem. After the upgrade to High Sierra my MacBook Pro overheats, the fans are running, which has not been happening on El Capitan.
I have run the EtreCheck, the results are here below. In one of the forums, I have read the problem is Keychain (secd), so I enable/disable it - the Keychain in iCloud. It seems this helps a bit (not much), but the next day I have to do the same. Doing this every single day is not a solution.
I would appreciate your check and reply. Thanks a lot, PK EtreCheck version: 3.4.6 (460) Report generated 2017-11-02 23:22:12 Download EtreCheck from Runtime: 2:19 Performance: Excellent Click the Lookup links for more information from Apple Support Communities.

I'm assuming BDLDaemon is BitDefinder, and as you can see it is consuming your CPU and it the one using your battery (or at least your charger). All the electricity is converted to heat. Hi Bob & all. (hope I’m not violating any thread conventions - I’m not here very often.) I can claim at 99% level that BitDefender causes an overheat on my MacBook Pro 9,1 mid 2012.
I had High Sierra installed for a few weeks, - I installed BitDefender a couple of days ago to simplify and rid myself of anti virus on the macOS and on the Win 8.1 running on Parallels Desktop. All. broke loose in temp. Hardware monitor Lite showed ambient temp in mid to hi 40s °C.
Activity monitor showed BD taking up 100% of a CPU (one of the four cores). Internal fans were spinning up to 5,000rpm. (Felt like the MacBook Pro was levitating as in a drone.:)) - When BDLDaemon finally baked off to 1% of a CPU core, the temp dropped back to high 30s °C; normal in my experience.
BD support was not helpful at first response and I’ve prodded them again. Will uninstall and get refund if they don’t solve problem. Articles in the “Please Read” post above has calmed my virus/ransomware fears and I’ll move back to NO antivirus if necessary. Still think I need something on Parallels Desktop running quicken under Win 8.1. Parallels Desktop running quicken under Win 8.1 Yes, but that would be running under Parallels, not macOS Right, I understand that Win8.1 is running separately under VM Parallels Desktop and may need a separate antivirus.
However, I’ve never dug into the Parallels Desktop to find out if Parallels and Windows 8.1 set up their own connections to and from the network or whether stuff running under Windows actually goes out through macOS and would therefore be protected by the built-in macOS software - and any antivirus running in macOS. I’m thinking I need to check with Parallel support to see how their software interfaces with the outside world. One of those “ I’ll get to it later” issues.

By the way, regarding BitDefender and high temps, I have turned off BD “Autopilot” and the CPU usage for “Antivirus for Mac BitDefender” and BDLdaemon have dropped to under 1% - and the Ambient temp (from Hardware Monitor Lite) is back to normal at 39-41°C. If BD support can’t remedy the problem, I’m going back for a refund and installing. Apple Footer.
